Day 1

Reflection: Today i began working on my bird. I thought it was going to be easy, because in the picture it looks simple. I wanted to give it a try since i had never before made a bird. I began struggling on making it's shape. Like the body in a circular way and the wings. I could finally get a little bit of my effort, but it needs a lot of work. I need to fix the face and make it for it to look upwards, and the tail a bit more opened. I like this piece because it has a positive meaning as well. Birds fly freely so it is saying that we as humana are all equal and free.

Day 2

Reflection: The base on the bottom is not part of my sculpture, i just placed my bird here for the picture to have a better angle. As you can see, i improved the tail, wings, and neck, while i also made the head look upwards. The bird's body now has more shape and looks more like my inspirational image. I'm trying my best to fix the tail, which i think is whats turning out worst of the entire piece. Next classes i'm going to keep working on it, and keep smoothing the bird. I keep ejoying making the sculpture because of the meaning it has behind it.
