I love this piece. It’s something that if i’m able to make it, i know i am already in the next level. It’s a piece that is going to be challenging for me, and i enjoy trying my best to achieve my goals. It’s form, how it is a thumbs up and it’s weight in each finger make it even more difficult, which i like.

What do you think the artist saying through this piece?

I think the artist was in a happy mood. Making a thumbs up, which symbolizes you are fine and settle. That there is nothing wrong with you and you are happy with the way you are living your life. I am most of the time in this mood, so it will be excellent to make this piece.

Reflection: What do you perceive to be the most challenging thing about constructing this sculpture? (3-5 sentences)

Constructing this sculpture is going to be extremely challenging, especially for me because i’m a beginner. Even though i have been learning fast, making the four fingers closed, just with the thumb up is going to be difficult. Making the fingers look real, and making them stable without breaking is another challenge. The piece is basically a challenge as a whole because a clay that is so hard will make it exhausting to form the fingers.
